It's been a week of hostile takeovers. First, the Fitness SF debacle. And now, Burger King's Twitter account has been commandeered by some punks who've given it a McDonald's skin and a real attitude. "BURGER KING® USA official Twitter account. Just got sold to McDonalds because the whopper flopped =[ FREDOM IS FAILURE℠," says the current bio. Among the tweets that @BurgerKing has retweeted: "Somebody needs to tell Burgerking that 'whopper123' isn't a secure password."
UPDATE: The account has been recovered, and BK is looking on the bright side with the tweet below.
Interesting day here at BURGER KING®, but we're back! Welcome to our new followers. Hope you all stick around!

UPDATE: On Tuesday, it was Jeep's turn to get hacked.
Hacking: Definitely not a #Jeep thing. We’re back in the driver’s seat!
